- The role and importance of water in human life
Water is the basis of human life, it is a huge wealth.
We are surrounded by water in different states. Rivers and seas are liquid, clouds and clouds are gaseous, hail and ice are solid. Water is very important in human life, despite the fact that it has no color, smell or special taste. A person cannot live long without water. The human body consists of almost 80 percent water. You need to drink about three liters per day per day. This is in addition to those liquids that a person consumes in the form of broth, tea and other drinks. When a person drinks different drinks, for example, juice, compote, even more liquid will come out of him than he drank. Therefore, you need to drink not boiled, but treated water. Otherwise, the body will be dehydrated.
Dehydration threatens him with pain, dizziness, and nausea. If a person does not drink water for a long time, he may even die within five days. With the help of water, harmful substances are removed from the body. But you can’t drink too much of it, as all the beneficial substances will leave the body and it will weaken.
Food is also prepared using water. All foods that a person eats mostly consist of water. Washing vegetables, fruits, berries, cooking, any proper nutrition is impossible without water. You need to know that there is fresh and salt water. Humans need only fresh water for nutrition.
But people need water not only for nutrition. To take care of the body, it is also necessary. You need to maintain hygiene, take a bath every day, brush your teeth, wash your hands before eating. If you don’t do this, you can get various skin or intestinal diseases. Clothes also need to be washed regularly. And for all this, water is used.
People can travel by water using special water transport and transport goods, because there are places that cannot be reached in any other way. In the summer, everyone relaxes in different bodies of water, bathes, swims, and improves their health.
To clean the premises, water is required, because a person will not be able to stay in an uncleaned, dusty home for a long time; he will get sick from dust and dirt. And to build the dwelling itself, water is also needed to make a special solution.
With the help of water, people are provided with electricity, since special hydroelectric power plants operate on water. And without light, people again would not be able to live. In winter, hot water is needed to heat our comfortable apartments.
There is a water cycle in nature. Water evaporates from the oceans, seas and rivers and rain waters our land, everything that grows on it and what people eat. It is impossible to imagine how people would raise domestic animals and birds, fruits and vegetables, and various plants if there was no water. All this would simply not exist in nature. Which means there would be no man.
Sources of water - rivers, seas, oceans and other bodies of water must be protected. It is impossible to pollute water bodies and their banks, because clean water is vital for humans.
Report No. 2
Everyone on Earth needs water - people, animals and birds, trees, plants and flowers. Thanks to her, all this is born, develops and blooms.
It is impossible to underestimate the enormous importance of water for all life on Earth. Water is involved in changes in weather and climate; with the help of water circulation, energy and substances arise in nature that serve as building materials for the origin and growth of living beings, from the largest to the microscopic. Despite the fact that water makes up more than seventy-one percent of its entire surface, which together form the waters of the World Ocean, more than 90% of it is not suitable for growing cultivated plants, that is, for growing agricultural products, which then become food for people and cannot be drunk. However, scientists know that there is 10–12 percent more water in the Earth’s mantle (in the geosphere) than in the World Ocean.
In many places on Earth (scientists estimate that 1 billion people on our planet do not have the opportunity to drink clean water), especially in Africa, there is not enough water for the most basic human needs. Since there is less and less available water, it is up to people to conserve water and have enough for everyone.
Water is of great importance for human life. Water is the second most important substance (the absolute priority is holding oxygen) for humans.
It is necessary for its life and is involved in many processes occurring in the body. In particular, water helps digest food, takes part in metabolism and affects blood circulation, normalizes intestinal function and ensures the supply of oxygen to cells, and destroys so-called toxins that are harmful to our body. Water greatly affects the mobility of joints and serves to protect tissues, that is, a variety of cells.
It is necessary to quench thirst. When a person loses even two percent of his body weight, he becomes extremely thirsty; the person will hallucinate if the loss is ten percent; twelve percent loss of water in the body can lead to deterioration of health and the help of doctors will be needed to restore it. If a person loses twenty percent of his body weight, then the person dies.
With the help of water, many processes occur in our body. When digesting solid food, the role of water is enormous. Because acids and enzymes will only break down solid food if there is a sufficient amount of water in the body. It is necessary to establish balance in the body.
Thanks to water, cells are saturated with oxygen... Thermoregulation, that is, the ability to retain heat in our body, also depends on water.
In addition, the presence of water in the body helps to avoid many joint diseases, in particular arthritis. Water saves you from dehydration in hot weather and helps those who are overweight. Drink water and be healthy!

Essay "Water is life"
Essay “Water is the wealth of the planet”
“It cannot be said that water is necessary for life,
water is life itself... water is the greatest
wealth in the world..."
A. de Saint-Exupéry
Water is the most precious wealth on the planet! How to describe it? It has no taste, no color, no smell. I learned a lot about water in the environment lesson. Until this day, I had not thought that water is the most important wealth of the Earth. I use water every day: I drink and eat with soup, wash my hands and wash my face, brush my teeth and use the shower... Now I understand why people in ancient times settled near rivers. Water helped people survive. It gave them food, saved them from the heat, and helped them grow crops. Without water, the life of plants, animals and humans is impossible. It's scary to think what will happen if the water disappears?
Now we can get drinking water at any moment. It just flows from the faucet in the house. We can boil tea, wash ourselves, do the cleaning, do the laundry whenever we want. Maybe this is why we don’t realize the value of water? We are not used to saving water; we can open the tap and not close it for a long time. But it turns out there are people who walk several kilometers every day to the well to give water to their family... This is strange, but true.
I want to say, even shout: “Inhabitants of the Earth! Save water! Water is a miracle of nature!” Let it spread into huge oceans and small rivers, let it bubble in streams. It rises up and rains on us, then falls as snow. She floats above us like a white cloud. We bathe and swim in water. It turns out that there are very few fresh water reserves on Earth, and we must remember this. This is something worth thinking about! Without water there is no life on Earth.
There are many sayings about water and its role in life. Legends, songs, tales, proverbs and sayings were created about her. For example: Water wears away a stone. The truth does not burn in fire and does not drown in water. You can't collect spilled water. To eat a fish, you have to get into the water. You have to bend down to drink water.
Have you heard about water? They say she is everywhere! In a puddle, in the sea, in the ocean And in a water tap. Like an icicle it freezes, It creeps into the forest like fog, It’s called a glacier in the mountains. We are accustomed to the fact that water is always our companion! We can’t wash ourselves without her, we can’t eat, we can’t get drunk, I dare to report to you: we can’t live without her.
Yes. We cannot live without water. The wise words of my grandmother are now completely clear that water is a unique substance. If each of us saves it and takes care of its purity, then there will be more clean water throughout the Earth. Friends, let's take care of this wonderful gift of nature!

Water in the life of animals and plants
Animals and plants need water. They drink it and get hydrated. Water is the main component of any plant or animal body. Thanks to water, nutrients are transported throughout the body and harmful substances are eliminated.
Water constantly evaporates from plant leaves, so to keep their bodies healthy, plants need a constant source of moisture.
Young animals do not tolerate a lack of water well. For proper development and growth of the body, they need more water than adult animals. With a lack of water, activity and blood circulation decrease. The animal may begin to eat less food, which affects the growth process.
Each animal has its own period that it can live without water. For example, a chicken can survive from 7 to 24 days. Ruminant animals up to 1 month. At the same time, they lose weight up to 50%.
But for many animals and plants, water is the home in which they live. They have adapted to live in water and cannot live outside of water. It is difficult to imagine how many animals and plants a person would not see in his life if there were no bodies of water: rivers, seas and oceans where thousands of organisms live.
The ocean is home to the largest mammal on Earth - the blue whale and one of the smallest fish - Schindleria, which weighs only 2 mg. Between these two extremes there is an incredible variety of fish, crabs, octopuses, starfish, all kinds of shellfish, corals and marine mammals.
Many mysteries and mysteries of the ocean still remain unsolved, but every year scientists discover more and more new species of previously unknown animals and plants.
Signs of lack of water in the body
The first signs of dehydration:
- dizziness;
- peeling and dry skin;
- fatigue and lethargy;
- joint and back pain;
- decreased performance;
- disruption of digestive and hematopoietic processes,
- an increase in blood viscosity and, as a result, an increase in the risk of thrombosis.
A stable supply of water to the body in the required quantity helps ensure vitality, get rid of ailments and many serious diseases, improve thinking and coordination of the brain. Therefore, you should always try to quench your emerging thirst. It is better to drink often and little by little, since a large amount of liquid for the purpose of one-time replenishment of the daily norm will be completely absorbed into the blood, which will put a noticeable load on the heart until the water is removed from the body by the kidneys.
The importance of water in human life
The importance of the natural component in life and everyday life is simply invaluable, since without it it is impossible to exist in principle.
Water is necessary for life because:
- humidifies inhaled oxygen;
- helps the body in high-quality absorption of nutrients;
- promotes the conversion of food into energy and normal digestion;
- participates in ongoing metabolism and chemical reactions;
- removes excess salts, waste and toxins;
- regulates body temperature;
- provides skin elasticity;
- regulates blood pressure;
- prevents the formation of kidney stones;
- is a kind of “lubricant” for joints and a shock absorber for the spinal cord;
- protects vital organs.
Water cycle in the body
One of the conditions for the existence of all living things is a constant content of water, the amount of which enters the body depends on a person’s lifestyle, his age, physical health, and environmental factors. During the day, up to 6% of the water available in the body is exchanged; Within 10 days, half of its total quantity is renewed. So, per day the body loses about 150 ml of water with feces, about 500 ml with exhaled air and the same amount with sweat, and 1.5 liters are excreted in the urine. A person receives approximately the same amount of water (about 3 liters per day) back. Of this, a third of a liter is formed in the body itself during biochemical processes, and about 2 liters are consumed with food and drinks, and the daily need for exclusively drinking water is about 1.5 liters.
Recently, experts have calculated that a person should still drink about 2 liters of pure water per day in order to prevent even the slightest dehydration of the body. The same amount is recommended to be consumed by yogis who know the true meaning of air and water. An absolutely healthy human body should ideally have a state of water balance, otherwise called water balance.
By the way, German scientists, after a series of experiments conducted on students, found that those who drink water and drinks more than others show greater restraint and a penchant for creativity. Water plays a stimulating role in human life, filling it with energy and vitality.
According to some estimates, over the course of 60 years of life, an average person drinks about 50 tons of water, which is comparable to almost an entire tank. It is interesting to know that half of ordinary food consists of water: in meat it is up to 67%, in cereals – 80%, vegetables and fruits contain up to 90%, bread – about 50%.
Water is a sculptor
As you know, in nature there is a constant water cycle in nature, during which amazing things happen, for example, due to the fact that water is constantly moving, caves can form. How does this happen? Water flows on the ground. Water flows constantly and underground. The labor of droplets of water over a long period of time created a whole world of huge caves and underground “palaces”. Water made its way through various easily soluble substances and took them with it. As a result, underground voids - caves - were formed.
Drops of water seeped through the cracks in the caves and hung on the ceiling for a long time. Partially they evaporated, and partially fell to the floor. There they too eventually evaporated. And on the ceiling and floor there were traces of various substances contained in the drops. Of course, from one drop the trace is small. But if there are countless drops and if they work hard for many, many years, then icicles, columns, threads and other cave decorations are formed. Icicles hanging from the ceiling are called stalactites, and pillars rising towards them are called stalagmites.
Special animals live in caves. For ancient people, caves served as homes. There are special caves where tourists are taken. Due to their unusual nature and beautiful views, caves are the setting for many science fiction films.
Man and water
And, of course, people need water. Every day a person needs to replenish the water balance in the body. Every human organ needs water. The tissues of the lungs contain up to 90% water, and the blood – up to 80%. The brain contains up to 75%, and joints - up to 24% water. Even human teeth contain 0.2% water. This is why it is so important to drink a significant amount of clean drinking water every day. Some water is healing for the body and can treat diseases.
There is hardly a person who has never said or heard the words: “What delicious water!” or, conversely, “The water doesn’t taste good.” But water has no taste! However, the water we take from a tap or well has taste and smell. This is explained quite simply. Water has the property of being a solvent. There are different substances in different places in the earth, and they dissolve in water in different quantities. These dissolved substances give the water its taste. This is how healing mineral waters are formed in some places. Depending on what substances are dissolved, these waters can treat various diseases. In places where mineral waters are found in the ground, sanatoriums are built.
However, water plays an important role in everyday life and for human economic needs. In order not to get sick, a person needs to keep his body clean, i.e. with the help of water he cleanses the body. Almost no dish can be prepared without using water.
Water bodies play an important role in human life. The first cities arose precisely on the banks of rivers and lakes. People took water from rivers for drinking and watering plants. Rivers also fed humans with fish. Some rivers are navigable and goods are transported along them, and people themselves often travel by water transport.
Hydroelectric power plants are often built on rivers, where they do not burn natural resources to produce electricity, but use the natural power of water as an energy source.
But natural reservoirs, i.e. created by nature is not always enough for a person to exist effectively. Therefore, artificial reservoirs are created for economic needs: reservoirs, canals, ponds. Water for houses is taken from the city's reservoirs, canals can be used to easily sail from one river to another and deliver cargo faster, and fish are bred in ponds to feed people.
