Essay on the theme Autumn
In my opinion, autumn is the most beautiful time of the year. The leaves on the trees change color from lush green to fiery reds and yellows. Often trees from afar look not only like flames, but also like a golden alley, walking along which you involuntarily feel like a hero of a fairy tale.
In addition, many poets dedicated poems to this time of year. A.S. Pushkin called autumn a “dull time,” but never ceased to admire it, describing forests dressed in crimson and gold, as well as skies covered with wavy mist. A I.A. Bunin, in turn, conveyed the autumn mood, describing the yellow carving of birches, shining in the blue azure and the forest, which contained the aroma of pine and oak.
In autumn the long-awaited harvest begins. The gardens and fields are emptying, and the gifts of autumn appear on the tables of all houses: from various canned vegetables, pickled mushrooms and jam from numerous types of berries to the main “decoration” of the table - potatoes. Since ancient times, people have learned to serve potatoes not only fried and boiled; there are a huge number of recipes from this “valuable” vegetable for every taste.
In addition to harvesting and preparing for the winter, there are many other types of autumn activities. For example, you can take a walk in the forest, breathe in clean fresh air and enjoy the beauty of nature. You can also go fishing or have a picnic, inviting your friends and family with you. And, having come from a walk, make tea and spend the rest of the evening listening and telling interesting stories with your family.
After the stuffy summer, there is a need for fresh air in the fall. I want coolness and rain. When I go outside after the rain, especially when early autumn sets in, I can walk for hours and inhale that truly “autumn scent.” After walking down the street, you can go to a small cozy cafe not far from your house, and sit back and read your favorite book over a cup of hot cocoa. I rightfully consider autumn to be a “cozy” time of year. All the fuss and fun of the hot summer fades into the background, and your soul becomes calm and measured. In such an environment, anyone can feel relaxed and peaceful.
Autumn lasts only three months, and in some regions, only one or two months, because the snow begins to fall and autumn no longer looks like the one I look forward to every year. I believe that autumn is the most wonderful time of the year. Do you love autumn as much as I love it?
Essay on the topic “Autumn day”
After a surprisingly warm September came a cool and rainy October.
On the first Sunday in October, despite the bad weather, the parents went into the forest to get honey mushrooms. My dad is an avid mushroom picker, but I thought it was unlikely they would be able to collect anything. This day was cloudy in the morning. Heavy clouds, like lead, hung very low, and everything around was dull and gray. From time to time it began to drizzle, passers-by opened their umbrellas and put on their hoods. The cold wind shook the trees, and leaves fell onto the wet asphalt. In this weather, I really didn’t want to leave the house, but my dog whined under the door, and I had to get out of my warm bed and go outside. When we left, it was still drizzling and there was a smell of dampness and rotten leaves. I opened my umbrella and we wandered into a nearby park. The park was not crowded, quiet and dull. I have only met dog lovers like me. Everyone’s faces were gloomy and sleepy, and I couldn’t help but smile - it’s clear that no one enjoyed the walks today. But the dogs, despite the cold autumn day, ran merrily through the damp and withered grass, buried their noses in a pile of already rotted leaves, snorted funny and scattered the pigeons, which were fed by an old man with a small dog. The benches were all wet and strewn with yellow leaves. Wet sparrows sat on half-naked trees, ruffled. Empty gazebos and attractions were bored without their visitors. I stood under an umbrella, thinking about the past summer, about the coming winter, and I was a little sad. Returning home, I covered myself with a warm blanket and took a book. After the damp street, it was very nice to be warm, drink hot tea and enjoy the day off. After lunch, the parents returned, tired but happy. To my surprise, they brought a whole basket of honey mushrooms and, after taking a short rest, began to clean them. Dad said that in the forest, although it is damp, there is no wind, it is beautiful and the air is wonderful. It got dark very quickly, and the dog asked to go for a walk again. I looked out the window and saw a real miracle. Our entire street was shrouded in white fog. When we went out, I felt that it became a little warmer, the wind died down, the rain stopped, but it was still very damp. The fog was white and so thick that the lanterns seemed dim. Everything seemed unnatural, it felt like I was in a fairy tale. If you find an error, please select a piece of text and press Ctrl+Enter.

Option 3
Autumn is the time of year between summer and winter. And this is no coincidence. After all, in autumn we can observe both the beauty of this time of year and farewell to summer. The first days of September remind us of the warm and carefree days of summer, but at the same time they prepare us for the upcoming cold weather that is just around the corner. Autumn is a time when everything around is covered with gold: trees, clearings in the forest, and paths in the park. But, despite this wonderful time of year, the sky seems dull and sad, as if it is about to cry. It will rain, and people will run away in all directions, just to get to dry places as quickly as possible.
But not only people pay attention to this wonderful time of year. Life in the forest does not stop; all animals, insects and birds are feverishly preparing for the cold days. Insects are among the first to react. Most of them are looking for shelter where they can safely spend the winter. Snakes and toads, frogs and lizards are on their way to go to winter. Larger animals also do not sit still: some accumulate fat for the winter, others begin to molt, and others prepare shelters.
And what autumn landscapes! It’s as if an artist painted our world with gold and orange colors. And rivers and lakes! They take on an even bluer hue, and it seems that these are not rivers and lakes, but seas and oceans. Migratory birds fly away and wave their wings to us, as if saying goodbye and saying that they will return. Autumn is the time of artists and photographers, because, probably, only these people are able to appreciate this magnificent picture.
And the rains. Of course, it’s not very pleasant to be outside in the pouring rain, but what a beauty after it. Streams with clean water run along the street, there is a rainbow of all colors in the sky, everything around becomes fresh, clean and dust-free.
But sooner or later all good things come to an end. This also applies to autumn. The days are getting colder and colder. The rains alternate between drizzling and torrential. The once blue sky is increasingly covered with clouds, and they become heavy from their own despondency and laziness with which they float across the sky. We no longer hear the singing of birds in the autumn forest, only the noise of swaying lonely trees with fallen leaves. Animals become calmer and seem to be sad for the summer, when they could have fun carefree under the rays of the hot sun.
Autumn day. Sokolniki description of the painting
It is interesting that in this painting, unlike many other landscapes by the author, there is a human figure. The female figure was painted not by Levitan himself, but by his friend the artist, with whom he studied together at the School of Painting.
In the picture we can see a cloudy day in the park. It's early autumn. Some trees have already turned yellow. The path is strewn with fallen leaves. A tall pine forest, like impregnable walls, surrounds the path along which a lonely woman walks. The sky is gray, gloomy, the weather is windy, and rain is about to start dripping.
The character of the picture is sad, melancholic. Gloomy weather, oppressive high walls of the forest, gray clouds rushing across the sky, the completely gone summer, the loneliness of a woman - all this evokes nostalgia, sadness for bygone times, sadness for the times that have come.
Painting experts believe that the painting turned out to be so sad for a reason. The picture was painted in 1879, which turned out to be quite difficult for Levitan. Then Jews were banned from being in Moscow, after which the artist was exiled to Saltykovka. Then the nature of the artist’s works became quite sad and melancholic, which was reflected in this work. The internal state of autumn hopelessness was reflected in the landscape.
Subsequently, this painting was acquired for his collection by philanthropist Pavel Tretyakov. The landscape remains in the Tretyakov Gallery to this day.

Autumn option 4
For many people, autumn is associated with sad thoughts about the end of the warm summer, happy holidays, cloudy skies, puddles on the roads and the lack of greenery in nature. But no season can bring as much pleasure from contemplation of shades as we can observe before the onset of winter.
Probably, a person’s mood depends on the desire and ability to see in any object or phenomenon of the surrounding world something that will bring joy to life and peace. In fact, autumn is one of the unusually bright times of the year. After all, in the fall the sky is not always gloomy with clouds, and the roads are muddy.
Although the bright green foliage remains a thing of the past, it is replaced by leaves of various shades - from yellow to brown. They surprise with their extraordinary appearance in the sun, becoming a real treasure, acquiring a resemblance to amber. The cold wind is not a hindrance, but adds delight when, thanks to its gusts, this multi-colored heap simultaneously scatters high above the ground, trying to spread in different directions, and then smoothly falls to the ground. The unique aroma of wet leaves is also unforgettable.
I don't see autumn rain as cold water. It evokes either peace in the soul or vigor, awakening with its coolness.
At this time of year, sometimes we feel thoughtful, when we want to be silent, think about the past or dream about the future.
As September approaches, school classrooms are filled with children's voices. Those who love to care for plants rejoice at the generous harvests. Bright herbariums bring pleasure with their appearance at home. Both bad weather and warm days bring endless joy if you learn to correctly perceive environmental phenomena. Moreover, looking at the withering of nature, one recalls the immortal lines of famous Russian poets who admired all its manifestations: “I love the magnificent withering of nature...” (A.S. Pushkin).
The best way to preserve these amazing moments of admiring nature in your memory is to capture them on film or video camera. And then on one of the boring evenings these shots will remind you of the gentle autumn sun, raindrops and pleasant notes of a wonderful time.

Pre-winter
Autumn changes in inanimate nature mean the approach of winter. The sun rises lower and lower above the horizon, the days shorten. The air temperature changes again, it becomes cold. The time of night frosts comes when the temperature drops below 0 °C. The puddles are covered with a crust of ice, and white frost crystals grow on the plants.
Rice. 1. Autumn frost.
Cold rains give way to sleet, sometimes they mix. Wet snow sticks to plants and covers paths. This phenomenon is called slush. On cloudy nights, thick fog descends from the damp, cooled air.
A thin ice crust forms on rivers and lakes, which is easily broken by currents or wind. A mixture of small debris and ice crystals—slush—moves along the surface of the water. Walking along the slush river means approaching freeze-up.
Bird migrations
Migratory birds gather in flocks, teach young birds how to behave in a flock, actively feed, and then fly away. Some fly in a group, the cranes line up in a wedge. The most experienced bird flies at the head of the wedge, the young ones stay behind.
Uniform flapping of the wings in a wedge creates air currents that facilitate flight. Therefore, the wedge is rebuilt on the fly - tired, weakened birds are placed in the middle of the line, where it is easier to fly.
Rice. 2. Crane wedge.
Birds staying for the winter clean and insulate their nests. Waxwings fly from the taiga to mixed forests and cities, where they feed on rowan berries and Chinese apples. Crossbills feed on the seeds of coniferous trees and migrate in the fall in search of fruitful spruce forests. Crows, tits, and wood grouse remain for the winter.
Animal life
In the second half of summer, forest inhabitants actively feed, gaining subcutaneous fat. In autumn, bears, wolves, foxes, and raccoon dogs grow thick, warm undercoat. In hares and small predators (ermine, weasel), summer wool is replaced by winter, white.
Burrowing animals, rodents, store food in underground storerooms. Squirrels store in tree roots or hollows. Sometimes several squirrels overwinter in one hollow. Bears are looking for places for dens.
Rice. 3. Squirrels in a hollow.
