- Self-esteem
Every self-respecting person should have self-esteem. This is a very important quality that helps to find a way out of difficult situations and at the same time remain a worthy person.
A person with self-esteem knows his own worth, does not compare himself with others and does not strive to be better than he really is. He will never deceive, betray, or commit vile acts, and you can always rely on him. Such a person will not allow himself to be offended and will not allow anyone to offend others. He treats himself with respect and respects those around him, so he deserves the same treatment. He does not like to get involved in conflicts, but when defending himself, he will defend his own opinion without humiliating the dignity of another person.
A worthy person does not strive to please everyone. He acts according to his conscience and relies on his own life principles and is decisive in his actions. He is fair, reasonable and remains calm in any situation. Self-esteem helps a person achieve success and move only forward, towards achieving his goals, because he believes in himself and in his strength. What distinguishes him from other people is willpower, discipline and the ability to cope with failures that occur along the path of life.
Self-esteem is not given to a person from birth; it is formed in the process of life and, of course, depends on upbringing. It's never too late to start developing this feeling in yourself. After all, it is not difficult to show respect and care towards other people, help elders, be honest, responsible and reliable. This is the usual behavior of a worthy person and everyone is capable of it.
A person with self-esteem will never boast about his merits, because for him, acting with dignity is the rule of life.
Self-esteem is one of the most important spiritual qualities of a person, and society will always respect and value such people.
Option 2
They especially often tell me: you should have self-esteem, no matter what age you are. And I am always at a loss as to whether I have it or whether I need to purchase it.
Let us consider this concept in detail in order to finally decide.
I think that self-esteem is a feeling in a person’s soul and consciousness when he respects and values himself. At the same time, you should not “go too far” and think that you are better than others. You are just a little higher than them in your intelligence, talent, and you know how to bear this title without boasting, that is, without shouting at all corners: I can draw very well or I am a gifted mathematician. This feeling, on the contrary, has a hidden character.
Self-esteem can also be viewed from the other side. Of course, not all people in society behave accordingly. Sometimes they can offend - either by accident or on purpose. But a person with self-esteem will not allow himself to be offended, but will express his objections to his opponents or quietly leave without getting involved in a scandal. There are many examples of situations where a person can express himself in this way. At school, at work, this is an irreplaceable feeling. But you shouldn’t lose yourself in everyday life either. I hope that many of my peers do not have this in their families, but it happens that parents absolutely suppress the child’s personality and do not allow him to express this feeling.
Therefore, a person with self-respect seems to me to be intelligent, practical, low in conflict, and deeply respectful of himself and others.
The clear conclusion is this: a person with self-esteem is always respected in society. It is easy to communicate with him on various topics, and he is unlikely to ever betray his friends. Also, such a person first of all feels good. He likes to live and bring only good to people.

Essay on dignity
Man is a social being. He is in close relationship with society. A person cannot help but think about how others treat him, what they think about him, what assessments are made of his actions and his entire life. Every person from time to time thinks about his place among other people. We have heard more than once about such concepts as honor and dignity. But what do they mean? For me, this is a whole set of certain human traits. This is honesty, truthfulness, sincerity, sincerity. A man of honor has clear, highly moral principles in his behavior and in his relationships with others. They reflect the moral value of the individual; they represent a public and individual assessment of a person’s moral qualities and actions. The highest manifestation of human dignity is nobility - the moral greatness of the human person. It can be inherent in any person who honestly fulfills his duty and lives by moral standards. I believe that a man of honor is also a modest person who does not tell everyone around him about his superiority. Of course, a man of honor also has such a quality as dignity. Dignity is internal confidence in one’s own worth, a sense of self-respect. The concept of dignity is more universal than the concept of honor. It emphasizes the importance of the individual and does not depend on social affiliation. An ordinary worker can be much more worthy than a politician or scientist. Man has a dignity which he maintains and which others must respect. The concepts of honor and dignity, which are close in meaning, have important semantic differences. So, honor is an assessment from the point of view of society, dignity is an assessment from the point of view of humanity, its common purpose. It is not surprising that a sense of honor causes a desire to rise and excel in the social group from which you seek honors. Self-esteem is based on recognition of moral equality with other people. Every individual has dignity simply because he is human. Therefore, a worthy member of society recognizes the dignity of other people and does not encroach on it. However, a person’s natural right to recognition of his dignity does not mean that it will manifest itself automatically. A person must “show” to the world his dignity, which is expressed in decency, honesty, integrity, in fairness to others and demanding of himself, in modesty and simplicity, in the desire to be an internally complete person who can be relied on. Only then can we confidently say that this is a man of honor and dignity. If a person, as has already been said, acquires the right to dignity from the moment he is born, just because he is a human being, then he acquires honor throughout the course of his entire life. However, honor is not just the good reputation of a person who has the listed qualities. You can earn it only by proving it with your own actions. Also, there is a certain similarity between honor and dignity. It manifests itself in such a feeling as self-esteem. With high objective self-esteem, a person who is aware of his merits and realizes them legitimately expects an appropriate assessment from society - honor. However, we should not forget that the pursuit of honor develops vanity. And vanity is one of the manifestations of pride. In religion it is considered one of the deadly sins. If we talk about the present time, then now there are few people of honor and dignity. I believe that it is necessary to cultivate feelings of dignity, honor, truthfulness, and sincerity in character from early childhood. “Take care of your honor from a young age,” wrote the outstanding person A.S. Pushkin. Thus, you need to be a worthy person from childhood. All events in life are interconnected, and dignity must be maintained throughout life, people must think about the consequences of their actions. Because if a person loses trust and respect, it will be very difficult to regain it.

The direct dignity in man is the soul...
What is dignity? In the dictionary of S.I. Ozhegov the following definition is given: 1. Positive qualities. 2. A set of properties that characterize high moral qualities, as well as awareness of the value of these properties and self-respect. What is the soul? This is the inner, mental world of a person, his consciousness. The dignity of a person is, first of all, a manifestation of his spiritual strength. The great philosopher Plato believed that the human soul consists of three components: first, it is the mind, which is the focus of wisdom given by God and eternally existing; secondly, these are two souls formed by the state. This is a hungry soul and an ardent or emotional soul.
In my opinion, the main problem of our era is the lack of human dignity, the lack of understanding of universal human values such as honor, conscience, respect, love, kindness, empathy, compassion, which have recently begun to be laughed at. The dignity of every person depends only on how he shows himself in his actions.
Honor and dignity were sacred to A.S. Pushkin; he remained a man of honor throughout his short life, but the poet’s loyalty to honor reached its culmination in the situation of his fatal duel. Pushkin's heroes have the same virtues.
The epigraph of the novel “The Captain's Daughter” is the Russian proverb “Take care of your dress again, but take care of your honor from a young age,” and A.S. Pushkin chose this proverb not by chance. These words accompanied Pyotr Grinev throughout his life. His father was a moral man and wanted to instill in his son the qualities of a true patriot, to teach Peter to live according to the laws of honor and conscience. The young man, finding himself in various life situations, behaves with dignity, as befits a Russian officer. Grinev’s kindness and nobility were manifested in the fulfillment of duty, in his honesty and devotion, in respect for his beloved girl, in responsibility for her, in self-esteem...
Such spiritual depths were revealed in Masha that the trip to St. Petersburg to see the Empress itself speaks volumes. Having decided that she will never marry Shvabrin in her life, and when her loved one is in danger, she stands before the empress herself and defends her love. These are her principles that she will not compromise.
In “The Tale of Peter and Fevronia,” the theme of love turns out to be extremely closely correlated with the theme of intelligence, human wisdom, which is one of human virtues. In the strength of her love and wisdom, Fevronia turns out to be superior to her ideal husband, Prince Peter. But not only is wisdom inherent in love, but love is also inherent in wisdom. After death, the heroes remain inseparable: Peter and Fevronia are buried in the same coffin, despite people’s attempts to violate their will.
A. Platonov in his works creates a special world that amazes us and makes us think. The writer reveals to us many qualities of ordinary people, such as beauty and greatness, kindness and openness. In the story “Yushka” we meet a man who has the rare gift of love. All his life Yushka has been beaten, insulted and offended. But he never showed anger towards people; the old man saw bullying as a strange and incomprehensible form of self-love. He lived by love for nature, people, and especially love for Dasha, an orphan whom he raised and educated in Moscow, denying himself almost everything. Having become a doctor, the girl came to the town to Yushka to cure him of consumption, which had tormented him for a long time. But, unfortunately, it was already too late. Yushka died. And only after death did people understand what kind of person the old man was. And in relation to the people surrounding Yushka, I can say that they are inhumane, there is no sympathy and compassion on their part. For the author, it was necessary to show everyone the importance of love and kindness between people who are able to endure the unbearable, to survive in conditions in which it seems impossible to survive. The writer showed that such people can transform the world, and Yushka in this story appears before us as a person with deep feelings.
Summarizing the above, I want to say that the entire formula of dignity is contained in a short line from a note by the officer of the nuclear-powered ship “Kursk” Dmitry Kolesnikov, written on the eve of his death: “There is no need to despair.” Maintaining faith and courage in a hopeless situation means spiritual victory when physical death occurs. “And the oath is more faithful, and the prayer is obsessive, when the battle is hopeless and don’t expect a miracle.”

Essay text:
According to scientists, man is the most highly organized creature on planet Earth. However, when interacting with some representatives of this species, it is advisable to question this statement.
The author of this text, Yu. Zolotarev, discusses the topic of human dignity.
Dignity is one of the most important human qualities. It does not depend on social status, profession or level of education. One may have seven classes and be a truly worthy person, while another may have two higher education degrees, but have no idea what human dignity is.
The author proceeds from the fact that human dignity is determined genetically. And this quality is necessary for creating a strong and morally “healthy” society, because a person with dignity is not capable of vile and base acts.
It's hard to disagree with the author. In fact, it is much easier and more comfortable to be around a person whose moral qualities are not in doubt. I believe that people are intuitively drawn to worthy people.
The theme of human dignity has repeatedly appeared in works of Russian literature. It was the Russian classics that taught us from childhood to live in such a way that we would not be ashamed of our actions and deeds.
In the works of A. S. Pushkin we meet heroes worthy of imitation. Thus, Pyotr Grinev, the hero of the story “The Captain’s Daughter,” is a man of high moral principles. These qualities are manifested in friendship, love and in all relationships with other people.
The hero of I. Turgenev’s story “Mumu” is a worthy person. Gerasim, despite his peasant origins, has those moral qualities that are unknown to his young lady.
I think a man should love and respect himself. This is the key to his decent behavior. We should all strive for this. And let the highly moral heroes of classical Russian literature serve as role models.
Essay on the topic: “human dignity”
A person’s dignity is his inner values in life. Each individual has his own values and views on what is happening, but there are also general priorities, approved over the years. This is the honor of the family, kindness to children, respect for the gray hair of older people, the desire for self-improvement. And no matter what difficulties you have to endure throughout your long life and how many times you need to make difficult choices, the main thing is not to lose your dignity and the meaning of your inner world. It is very difficult, but the feeling of satisfaction and pride in oneself cannot be replaced by anything.
Quite often, people make unworthy decisions for the sake of material wealth, thereby feeling inner emptiness and humiliation, although the set goal was achieved. In this case, in order not to suffer from remorse, you should listen to your personal beliefs and not succumb to manipulation by other people. You need to cultivate strength of character. Of course, it is not always possible to maintain a sense of personal dignity. This can be observed in examples of wars, repressions and other extraordinary situations. But not all people lose their inner core even in bad times. And you can observe such heroes both in history and in the modern world. After all, they shoulder the entire burden of dignity. Yes, exactly the cargo. Because in history there are cases with fatal outcomes of people who defended their position in life, not submitting to attacks from aggressors. They are role models.
Difficult life situations occur in the life of every person. To break down, go with the flow, or proudly emerge from the current situation is the choice of the person himself. It will not be easy, but in moments of uncertainty you need to think that your inner core and sense of personal dignity will not be able to break temporary problems. After all, they can be solved, albeit through enormous efforts, but character and spiritual strength will only become stronger from this. Everyone should try to live with dignity. Develop your own personal hero.
