The date of creation of Valentin Serov’s painting “Girl with Peaches” is 1887. Then the painter was a young man, and it was this painting that became fateful for the Russian artist. One day, young Vera Mamontova was playing with the children on the street, after which she ran into the house, out of breath, to try a peach. She was so cheerful, open and positive. That the painter immediately decided to paint a girl’s portrait.
