Essay on the painting of a girl with peaches by Serov 3, 7th grade description

In the painting by V.A. Serov's "Girl with Peaches" we see a girl dressed in a simple pink suit. She sits at a table in a large room and looks towards the artist. There are three ripe peaches on the table, and the girl has another one in her hands. We also see maple leaves on the table.

A beautiful, slightly thoughtful girl seems to want to smile, but still hides a smile behind closed lips. The pink summer blouse of the heroine of the canvas is decorated with a large black bow. The girl has large brown eyes and thick black hair; a slight blush is noticeable on her dark cheeks.

The room in which the girl sits is generously illuminated with silvery light. The sun's glare plays on the white tablecloth. The room is tidy, all the chairs are in their places, there is nothing superfluous. I think that the picture was painted in late summer, since the fruits were already ripe.

The picture turned out very kind and bright. She gave me only positive emotions. It’s simply impossible to look at her without admiration!

V. A. SEROV “GIRL WITH PEACHES” (essay based on the painting)

Option 1
The work of V. A. Serov is difficult to fit into the framework of any one artistic movement in the art of the late 19th - early 20th centuries - it is complex and versatile. The genre portrait “Girl with Peaches” was painted in 1887, when the artist turned 22 years old. The portrait is full of the charm of Serov’s young and courageous talent.

He himself admitted that he was looking for in him “that special freshness that you always feel in nature and do not see in paintings.” And he found it, striking his contemporaries and us, today’s connoisseurs of high art, with the transmission of air, light and the vibrant warmth of life.

The painting depicts the daughter of the famous philanthropist of the time, Vera Mamontova. The portrait was painted in the Mamontov estate near Moscow. Undoubtedly, the portrait reflected the joyful atmosphere of passion for art and friendship with the artists who came to visit and work there that reigned in this house. V. A. Serov has been friends with the Mamontov family since childhood.

note

The girl is sitting at the table, holding a peach in her hands. Her attentive gaze is directed directly at the viewer. What could this look say? The girl resembles a playful kitten. There is a feeling that just a moment ago she was having fun and playing and now she sat down to rest. Therefore, the artist decided to capture her precisely at the moment of peace.

The image of the girl occupies a central place in the picture. The entire environment serves as an unobtrusive background.

Bright light floods the room, sunbeams dance on the objects surrounding the girl. At first glance, it is difficult to determine what time of year it is outside the window.

The sunshine is so bright that it feels like it's hot summer outside. Taking a closer look at the details, we notice yellow maple leaves on the table, yellow foliage outside the window. And peaches ripen in late August - early September. Only autumn sunlight, only the reflection of autumn yellow foliage can create such a unique color scheme. The light seems golden, as if sparkling.

There are no halftones in the picture. Only bright touches: the girl’s bright blouse, a black bow, her dark eyes full of charm, unruly hair.

Thanks to the joyful, lively colors, unusual tones in the transmission of light and air, the picture became an event in Russian painting.

Option 2

The outstanding Russian painter Valentin Aleksandrovich Serov created many works during his creative life, many of which were included in the treasury of Russian art.

Whatever this wonderful artist depicts, whatever themes he reveals in his work - portraits, historical painting or subjects of ancient mythology - everywhere he shows the depth and truthfulness of the image, the strength and purity of the embodiment of his own feelings.

Important

For the painting “Girl with Peaches,” the Mamontovs’ daughter Vera posed for the artist. Serov saw in her, first of all, the beauty of youth. The light, air, joy, youth in the picture are beautiful in themselves.

Pastel light colors create the feeling of a sunny summer day.

Important

In “Girl with Peaches” the dominant theme is a moment of peace, a stop, after which this restless young creature will begin to move and entail changes in the entire interior.

The room is flooded with light, the reflections of which fall on the girl, sparkle with pearlescent spots on the tablecloth, and glide across the girl’s tanned face. Her eyes glow with joy and delight. She seemed to merge with the house and garden, which is visible through the glass windows.

The girl with golden peaches is bathed in the sun, the whole picture is permeated with this light.

The girl is in a hurry somewhere, her head is disheveled, she sat down at the table for a minute - to quickly pose for the artist and again run away somewhere - maybe into the garden. It is not for nothing that the movement is emphasized by the tablecloth on the table running deeper and by the angles of the figure and objects.

Serov balances this movement with the triangle of the pink spot on the girl’s sweater, the central location of the head, and the free symmetry of things seemingly randomly scattered around the room, but actually placed in their places with calculation.

The picture is imbued with a feeling of joyful admiration of the world. In all his works, the artist strives to comprehend the essence of phenomena, to comprehend the secrets of nature and the human soul. Therefore, his best works belong to the real pinnacles of Russian realistic art.

Essay description of the painting Girl with Peaches, version 3

Painting by V.A. Serov's "Girl with Peaches" received worldwide fame and recognition. The artist depicted the sweet girl Verochka Mamontova with warmth and sympathy. She was the daughter of a merchant and industrialist.

Before the viewer is the image of a girl, tanned and quite old. Her dark, large eyes attract special attention. They seem to be filled with slyness, a kind of childish enthusiasm. Verochka sits quietly, as if she is trying to pose for the artist. However, on the other hand, it seems to me that she wants to jump out of her chair and go outside on an adventure. Childhood lives in her, bright and carefree.

I think that Verochka is growing up in a good, kind family, so she knows exactly what love and care are. V.A. Serov is in a hurry to capture the child in such a calm position and this must be done very quickly. After all, the mischief’s patience is running out. Just about, and she will jump out of her chair, continuing active and active games. I think that the experienced painter simply perfectly selected the color shades in which the picture was executed. I associate them with energy, with joy, with youth.

There is a lot of light on the canvas. It is spacious and not overcrowded with unnecessary details. Outside the window you can see a warm and lovely summer day. The heroine's face is rendered in dark tones, her hair is dark. This color composition perfectly harmonizes with a bright red bow tied on a child’s blouse.

The girl is sitting at the table, and there are fresh, just picked peaches on it. Oh, how wonderful their aroma is! The painting “Girl with Peaches” is filled with kindness and light. She received positive reviews from many people, viewers and art lovers. I completely agree with them. Work by V.A. I also liked Serova.

Serov “Girl with Peaches” description

"Girl with Peaches"

- a painting by the Russian painter Valentin Serov, painted in 1887, kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery. The heroine of the portrait is the daughter of the famous entrepreneur and philanthropist Savva Mamontov - Vera. The girl was only 12 years old when the master began to paint her portrait.

The girl sits motionless, but from her dark, ruddy face and dark, disheveled hair, it is noticeable that just a few minutes ago she was playing in the sun-drenched garden. She is wearing a pink sweater with a smart black bow. The tanned girl looks intently forward.

She has large dark eyes, slightly tousled hair and well-defined eyebrows. You might think that the girl was up to some kind of prank. She is holding one peach, about to eat it. The girl's pose expresses impatience. Another moment and she will fly off like a butterfly from a flower, back to the garden to play with the children.

And this very moment was captured by a talented artist.

The whole picture is flooded with sunlight, the light floods the entire room, playing with multi-colored reflections on the wall, on the furniture, on the candlestick visible on the right, on the silver knife lying on the snow-white tablecloth.

Advice

Through the window we see that it is early autumn outside, and this is also noticeable from the yellow leaves lying on the table. A door open to another room gives us the idea of unlimited space.

The whole picture is filled with white light, which gives it purity, freshness and tranquility.

Thanks to techniques taken from impressionism, V. Serov was able to inimitably convey the play of sunlight, its saturation, and even what is difficult to actually draw - the airiness and fleetingness of a moment.

“Girl with Peaches” presentation

The painting depicts the common favorite of the artists who were visiting Abramtsevo at that time, Vera Mamontova, the daughter of Savva Mamontov. Looking at the picture, we see a very lively and tanned girl. She has large dark eyes, in which some kind of light is hidden.

All flooded with light bursting through the window, she gazes intently at the viewer. This unusually invigorating sunlight saturates the entire space of a large and bright room.

It plays with colorful reflections on the wall, and on a dish hung in the wall, and on the backs of chairs, and on a table by the window. The candlestick hidden on the table and visible to the right also reflects this joyful light.

The silver knife that lies on the table sparkles brightly against the background of a snow-white tablecloth. Without lingering on the surrounding objects, the light glides across the girl’s face, giving birth to a play of lilac and blue highlights on her pink blouse.

The girl’s dark face is set off by the overall bluish tone of the picture. This seemingly cold tone is softened by the warm tones of the peaches and leaves lying on the table and ends with the sonorous major tone of the red bow on the chest.

Looking at the girl, whose whole posture expresses suppressed impatience, it seems that she only sat down at the table for a minute. Her nostrils flare slightly, as if she can’t catch her breath from running fast, and her brown eyes glance sideways at us, as if planning another trick. Despite the fact that her lips are seriously compressed, there is an abyss of childish slyness in them.

When you look at the picture, you feel how it exudes freshness, youth and at the same time some kind of nobility. The furnishings of the room depicted in the picture are so cozy that it gives rise to a feeling of protection from the adversities of the surrounding world. Therefore, it is not surprising that the painting “Girl with Peaches” amazed Moscow at that time and became one of the pearls of Russian portraiture.

For girls

(212 words) I once considered portraits a boring genre. For me they all looked the same. Queens and ministers, kings and military leaders - they all looked formal and dry. And only one picture made me change my mind - “Girl with Peaches” by Valentin Serov.

The reproduction shows a little girl sitting at a table. She is wearing a pink blouse. Around her neck is a black and white polka dot bow with a large red insert. Her hair is dark and short, her eyes are brown, her lips are pinkish, as are her tender cheeks. The facial expression is calm and thoughtful. The heroine’s skin is tanned, and it’s very light in the picture, which means it’s late summer. In front of the girl, on a table covered with a white tablecloth, lie peaches and yellowish maple leaves. One is in her hands, the others lie at a distance. In the background of the picture there are wooden chairs, and from behind the heroine’s back you can see a window, apparently looking out into the garden. The wallpaper on the walls in the house is grayish-white, and there is a neat round dish on it. There is also a brownish-yellow figurine behind the girl’s back. The whole picture radiates the freshness and beauty of a summer day. Light and bright colors immerse the observer in the atmosphere of joy and youth of nature.

I really liked the painting “Girl with Peaches” because it was painted by a true master of his craft. He conveyed all the naturalness of a child’s skin, the play of light on the table and created a universal image of a pure and happy childhood.

Plan for an essay describing the painting “Girl with Peaches”:

Essay on the painting “Girl with Peaches” by Serov: description of the painting, history of creation

We know Valentin Aleksandrovich Serov from the history of art as a Russian artist. It has a multifaceted and subtle nature. He tried himself in all genres of painting and graphics and, having tested his strength, everything turned out great for him. However, most of the achievements occurred in the area of portraits.

Valentin's father was a creative and noble man. Therefore, seeing his son’s talent for painting, he sent him to master all the intricacies of this craft. First - to Paris, and then - to Abramtsevo.

It was there, in the estate of the philanthropist and industrialist Savva Mamontov, that the artist found inspiration for the future painting “Girl with Peaches,” painted in 1887.

Then, as a young Valentin, delicious peaches sank into his soul.

note

Everyone in the estate knew such a restless and sociable child as Vera. It was Mamontov's daughter. This is exactly what we see in Valentin Serov’s film. Sometimes it’s surprising how the artist was able to keep the girl in one place for a long time.

However, it looks as if it was painted in one breath with several strokes of the brush.

In the foreground of the picture we notice a table covered with a white tablecloth. There are peaches and maple leaves scattered on it, as well as a knife. Perhaps Vera brought them herself so as not to get bored while Valentin was making the first sketches. In the girl’s hand we also notice a peach from the same estate.

Vera does not look like a Russian girl, because her complexion is dark. Therefore, we can attribute it to eastern or gypsy roots. The hair is dark, thick, disheveled in all directions. However, this is not strange.

After all, Vera did not like to sit in one place for a long time. A soft pink blouse and a large bow give it tenderness and femininity. The artist depicted it in such detail, as if it were made of cobweb threads.

The picture is illuminated by bright sunlight that comes from the windows. Therefore, an ordinary room becomes bright and cozy. An unusual and sophisticated play of blue and lilac tones can be seen on the girl’s blouse, which shimmer with mother-of-pearl and go down to the tablecloth, continuing to play with multi-colored highlights and spots.

Verochka's dark face with blush on her cheeks is set off in Serov's work of art with an overall soft blue tone. It is softened by the warm tones of maple leaves and peaches, as well as the bright tone of the red bow on the pink shirt.

The artist masterfully painted both the figure and portrait of the girl, as well as small details. And the background, the park outside the window, turns this picture into an attractive and living work of art.

But thanks to the portrait of the girl, this picture continues to this day to sing a song of purity and youth.

Option 2

Valentin Aleksandrovich Serov is a great Russian artist. The painting “Girl with Peaches” is one of the first major works

V. A. Serova. It was created at the dawn of the artist’s creative life. This masterpiece fully revealed the scale of his talent and immediately determined his place and significance in the history of Russian pictorial art.

“Girl with Peaches” was created by V. A. Serov when he was not yet twenty-two years old. The painting depicts Vera Mamontova (the artist maintained friendly relations with the Mamontov family). We see in front of us a tanned girl of about twelve, sitting at a table in a sunlit room. She has large, dark, radiant eyes that hide a playful twinkle.

The lips are seriously compressed, but you can see a slight slyness in them. It seems that the girl is up to some kind of prank and she can’t wait to bring her idea to life.

Advice

Alive, tanned, with a cap of unruly thick hair, dark strands framing her face, she gazes at the viewer, all bathed in light.

He bursts through the windows and plays with multi-colored reflections on the wall, on the backs of chairs, on a candlestick, on the silver of a knife and on the velvety fruits lying on the table.

Joyful and invigorating sunlight, falling from the windows, fills the entire space of the large room, glides across the girl’s face, giving rise to an unusual play of blue and lilac shades on her pink blouse.

The general background of the picture is coolish blue, so the girl’s dark face with a barely visible blush stands out very well. The warm tones of the bow on the chest and the peaches and leaves lying on the table contrast brightly.

The whole picture is full of energy, youth and freshness. Even the girl’s posture expresses impatience, as if she sat down at the table for just a minute.

The painting “Girl with Peaches” is still one of the most beautiful masterpieces of Russian portrait art.

An essay based on a painting by V.A. Serov "Girl with Peaches"

Serov Valentin Aleksandrovich is a famous portrait painter who painted many wonderful paintings. Just a reproduction of one of them lies in front of me. This is one of the first famous works, which was written in 1887 and was called Girl with Peaches. Now we will write an essay based on this picture.

The Girl with Peaches, on which we are writing an essay, is certainly a talented work, overflowing with charm and a certain magnetism, because you can look at the canvas for hours and not get tired of it. If we delve deeper into the history of the creation of the painting, we will find out who exactly the artist depicted.

The fate of the heroine of the picture

At the beginning of 1903, Vera married the Minister of Church Affairs and Leader of the Nobility Alexander Samarin, who was seven years older than her. She gave birth to three children (Yura, Lisa and Seryozha). In 1907, she became very ill, the cold turned into pneumonia, and at the end of December Vera died. Alexandra, Vera’s younger sister, took care of the children. Seryozha died in 1913.

The fate of the spouse is also sad. After the Revolution he was exiled to Yakutia, where he died in 1932. Yuri and Elizaveta lived to adulthood.

Essay based on Serov's painting Girl with Peaches, grade 6

The young twenty-two-year-old artist Valentin Serov painted his famous painting “Girl with Peaches,” which today is in the Tretyakov Gallery, in 1887 in the Abramtsevo estate, owned by the famous philanthropist and entrepreneur Savva Mamontov.

The Mamontov house was almost like home for Serov; he came here after a trip to Italy and spent several months at the estate. During this period, the artist suddenly had the idea to paint a portrait of Savva Mamontov’s daughter, Verochka.

One day, the girl quickly ran into the dining room and sat down at the table, taking one of the peaches in her hand. Valentin Serov was shocked by the play of sunlight that filled the room and the spontaneity of the girl illuminated by the sun's rays. He persuaded Vera to pose and immediately got to work.

Important

With amazing authenticity, the young artist managed to convey in this picture the charming image of young Verochka Mamontova, playful, with dark hair and mischievous sparkles in her eyes. All the close girls were surprised that such a fidget patiently posed for Serov for more than a month. And the result exceeded all expectations.

A dark-eyed and lively girl with a gentle blush on her cheeks looks at the viewer from the canvas. She looks clearly older than her less than twelve years. What makes her look more mature is the look in which there are hidden lights, as well as a soft pink blouse with a large bright bow. Vera seemed to sit down for a minute at a large table with a white tablecloth and pick up one of four peaches with delicate skin.

From behind the back of the heroine of the painting, the dining room is literally flooded with sunlight through the large windows. The artist managed to convey its unique shades on all surrounding objects. On the wooden backs of good-quality and obviously expensive chairs, in the silver of a knife lying next to the fruits, in the shine of a thin candlestick and a majolica plate on the wall.

This radiance of a sunny day filled the entire space - the walls, the table, the windowsill, and gently touched the girl’s cheeks.

Verochka’s appearance is in great harmony with this play of bright light; this picture has become a real ode to youth, when every day brings joyful knowledge of the world around us.

Valentin Serov subtly captured and managed to convey this unique moment. No wonder “Girl with Peaches” became his best work, which immediately received recognition from the discerning Moscow public.

The wonderful girl on the artist’s canvas is all the more dear to everyone who loves painting, because her fate is known. The life of Vera Mamontova turned out to be offensively short. Happily married, she became the mother of three children, but when her youngest son was only seven months old, in the winter of 1907, Vera suddenly passed away due to fulminant pneumonia, when she was only 32 years old.

Many famous artists who stayed with Vera's father at this estate painted her portraits. But the best of them has long been recognized as “Girl with Peaches,” in which the artist’s talent gave us a unique and charming image of a happy and life-affirming youth for centuries.

Essay No. 2 based on Serov’s painting Girl with Peaches

The young artist V. A. Serov met Vera Mamontova when she was only 11 years old. The girl fluttered into the room like a bird, holding a peach in her hands. Seeing such a lively, cheerful, restless young and beautiful model, the artist invited her to pose. This is how one of the many famous paintings appeared - “Girl with Peaches”.

At a massive dining table covered with a white tablecloth, on a heavy wooden chair sits the childishly sweet and fragile Vera. She has a soft oval face, a delicate pinkish blush lies on her cheeks.

Her black, unruly curly hair is disheveled on her head, as if the street wind is still blowing through it. The girl’s gaze is directed towards the viewer, it pierces him with its expressiveness and depth.

It seems that Vera’s big eyes are pitch black.

Advice

Vera is wearing a pale pink blouse with a large black bow, as bright and eye-catching as the girl herself. In her dark, thin hands lies one of the peach picked from the garden.

It looks like the girl is going to eat it because there is a silver knife on the table.

Why were peaches on the table? So, perhaps, the artist conveys tenderness, but at the same time the richness, richness and sweetness of youth.

The room is flooded with sunlight pouring through the open window. The sun's rays and glare are reflected everywhere: on the whitewashed walls, on the light tablecloth, on Verusha's silhouette, creating an upbeat mood. The decor in the room harmoniously matches the image of the heroine, bright, pure, and cheerful. In the background you can see another room and a window looking out onto the garden.

For his painting, the artist chose contrasting tones: Vera’s searing black hair, dark furniture, a black bow - all this highlights the soft pink and snow-white colors that V. A. Serov uses to depict a room in which comfort, joy and childlike ease reign .

Essay based on the painting by V. A. Serov “Girl with Peaches”

The painting “Girl with Peaches” was painted by Valentin Serov in 1887, when the artist was only 22 years old. This is one of his first works of this scale, which immediately won the sympathy and recognition of the public, as well as the entire artistic community.

The picture was painted in the estate of the famous entrepreneur and philanthropist Savva Mamontov, located in the village of Abramtsevo. The artist often and for a long time stayed with the Mamontovs in this village, he knew and was friends with all members of the large family.

On that visit, he saw something in the face of Verochka Mamontova, the daughter of Savva Ivanovich, that he immediately wanted to draw her portrait. V. Serov really wanted, in his words, to paint “pleasant things” in his paintings. And he succeeded.

note

Initially the painting was called “Portrait of V. M.”, but then, with the light hand of the artist I. Grabar, it received

known as “The Girl with the Peaches.”

Verusha Mamontova was a very restless, lively child and loved outdoor games.

One day Serov spied the moment when, during a game of Cossack robbers, Verochka flew into the dining room, picked up a peach and sat down at the table.

This is exactly how the artist wanted to depict the girl on his canvas. He persuaded her for a long time. When Vera agreed, she had to patiently pose for a family friend for a whole month.

“Girl with Peaches” is not just a portrait of a girl - it is a combination of portrait, landscape, interior and still life. The harmonious combination of all components gives the canvas integrity and attractiveness.

In the center, sitting in an impatient pose, is a 12-year-old girl wearing a pink blouse, decorated with a blue bow with white polka dots. She is holding a peach in her hands. She ran into the dining room to eat it and catch her breath a little.

Her dark brown, unusually thick hair was disheveled; she ran a lot during the game. Eyebrows stand out on the face. Black

and thick in the shape of a crescent, they almost converge on the bridge of the nose. Bright lips are compressed, as if the girl had just finished speaking. It’s as if she’s waiting for a signal so she can jump up, run away and continue the game. The girl’s skin is soft, velvety, what they call peachy. A nice, healthy blush plays on the cheeks.

But the most important thing in this portrait is the dark eyes with bluish whites. They are so expressive that you want to look at them for a long time and find more and more new shades and meaning. Waiting and calling into some unknown distance, the look of dark, olive-like eyes reveals in a teenager an extraordinary nature, indomitable energy, intelligence, childlike purity and innocence.

The girl’s posture shows that she has self-esteem and nobility. She is not at all embarrassed by the fact that at the moment she is a model, and a portrait is being painted of her, which hundreds of people will then look at. She's just doing her friend a favor by posing for him.

Important

It is felt that the girl is cloudlessly happy in this house, surrounded by the love and care of family and friends, lives in harmony with people and the surrounding nature.

A girl sits at a table covered with a snow-white tablecloth. Its color emphasizes the tan on the children’s hands, obtained during the summer spent at the estate.

Next to her lies a silver knife, peaches and yellow fading maple leaves. The peaches are fresh, as they were grown by the gardener at the local Mammoth greenhouse.

Perhaps Vera picked them herself when she ran into the greenhouse, so they are not in a vase, but simply scattered on the table.

The furniture in the dining room was carefully designed: good-quality mahogany chairs and a table, and even a figurine of a soldier behind the girl’s back. In the wall hangs a ceramic plate made by one of the artists who visited the house. A small part of the doorway with the door open is visible, which seems to increase the space surrounding the girl.

And the space - the room and part of the garden outside the window - is permeated with the light of a sunny autumn day and saturated with air. The artist was especially able to convey the fullness of the place with air and light. Thanks to the sunlight pouring from the window, everything white has a variety of shades - the tablecloth, the walls and the white window frame. Pink, blue, yellow tones are present on white.

Even a dark blue bow leaves lilac and bluish shadows on a pink blouse. The glare of light plays on all interior items, even on the metal candlestick standing on the windowsill. There is a candle inserted into it, which was lit in the evenings, since there was probably no electricity in the village at the end of the nineteenth century. Outside the window you can see trees in the garden.

You can determine the time of year by the color of the leaves - it is the end of summer or the beginning of autumn.

Everything depicted in this picture seems warm and alive. The warm colors in which the girl is painted against a cold white background emphasize her natural vitality. Even the bow on the blouse looks like a crouching butterfly, ready to flutter and fly away.

Advice

The charming freshness of the girl’s face and the simplicity of the plot make the picture pleasant and understandable to most viewers. But, at the same time, only a great artist could convey the mystery of a woman’s gaze, which carries a lot of shades of meaning.

This gives the picture charm and attractiveness.

After the exhibition in Moscow, the portrait hung on the wall in this dining room for a long time, then was transferred to the Tretyakov Gallery, where it is exhibited to this day. And in Abramtsevo, where the museum is now, there is a copy of the painting.
