- Genius
What is genius? Many people have probably asked this question. Perhaps genius is an unconventional mindset, making new discoveries. Every person knows at least a couple of names of brilliant people: they can be legendary scientists, amazing poets, incredible painters.
Genius is a person’s ambitions directed in the right direction. An opportunity to show your best side, find yourself in your favorite business and achieve great success in it. A person becomes a genius not from birth, but through his perseverance and hard work. In order to be considered a genius, you need to show your best side, constantly improve, and not stop at the achieved goal.
Genius is a word that does not have one single meaning. Each person has his own thoughts on this matter. There is no definite concept of what genius is. Every person is a genius and unique from birth. However, not everyone can discover this treasure within themselves. Some people stop there, while others fully believe in victory and go towards it. A genius is the one who was able to reveal the potential for something in himself, and not, on the contrary, bury it.
A person of genius is not necessarily unique in everything. He may be the best in a particular field. Speaking of brilliant people, personalities such as Einstein, Mendeleev, Leonardo da Vinci, Copernicus and many others immediately come to mind. Each of them is a genius in a certain area, in a certain area. It was people like them who wrote history, made developments progress for the better, and improved this world. Everything doesn’t always work out the first time, however, they didn’t give up and didn’t bury their talent.
We can say that a genius is a super-intelligence that stands on the top of a mountain and sees the whole world at a glance. However, although this summit was difficult and thorny, it was worth it. All difficulties add up to a positive result. Brilliant people are not just smart, but people who were able to jump above their heads. People who were able to believe in themselves.
The key to success of genius is not that hard, and work and diligence are the key aspects in achieving this key to success.
Option 2
Disputes often flare up in society regarding brilliant people - they are considered to be unusually gifted lucky people who know and can do much more than ordinary people, or unfortunate madmen endowed with extraordinary abilities.
According to the dictionary, genius is the highest degree of creative or intellectual manifestation of a person. That is, a genius person is one who easily creates works of art that become real masterpieces or makes unexpected discoveries in one of the branches of science.
History knows many examples of geniuses who radically changed the way societies live, discovering new laws, parts of the world, and putting forward, at first glance, completely absurd hypotheses. Some were so obsessed with manifestations of genius that they could not become happy in life, since they constantly devoted all their time to only one specific area of activity. It is in this regard that doctors are inclined to believe that genius is a kind of disease that dooms the owner to suffer all his life from an unusual vision of the world, possibilities, paths and solutions.
Genius cannot be acquired with age or developed in the course of work; most often, it is an innate state of an individual, which can be traced from an early age, when a child paints unimaginable pictures or solves mathematical problems that even an adult would think about. No one knows exactly where brilliant people come from, or what factors influence their nervous system and intellect to make them who they are.
Some people dream of becoming geniuses, believing that this will bring them unprecedented success, material well-being, and, as a result, long-awaited happiness. Others, on the contrary, would give a lot just to get rid of this gift and at least for some time live the life of an ordinary person.
It is impossible to say objectively whether genius is an illness or a higher gift, but it is brilliant people who change the world as we know it.
Option 3
Genius, as a rule, is associated with great figures of science and art, such as A. S. Pushkin, M. Yu. Lermontov, Isaac Newton, Franz Peter Schubert, Imre Kalman, G. M. Fichtenholtz and other famous people whose creations and discoveries and inventions in their time changed and turned our world upside down. These people certainly had extraordinary abilities.
Each person is predisposed to some type of activity. And if you develop these abilities from childhood, then talent will appear over time. Such people become successful and famous. And that is all. The development of abilities stops. Having achieved a certain mastery, such a person only continues to hone his talent and maintains his skill. A genius does not have this bar.
What they say about geniuses. “A man of genius is talented in everything.” An example of this can be D.I. Mendeleev, he dealt not only with issues related to chemistry. In addition, he was an experimenter, dealing with issues of aeronautics. And Leonardo Da Vinci. In addition to art, he contributed to anatomy and medicine, engineering. He was also an inventor
Genius is the highest degree of development of intelligence, mental and creative abilities. Every genius is talented, but talent does not mean genius. Brilliant people have a huge advantage over others. But is it so good to be a genius?
In psychology, genius is a deviation from the norm. Such people stand out from the majority and are often misunderstood. Because of this, he is subject to sarcasm. "Unrecognized genius." This is what they say about many brilliant people who gained fame and glory after death.
Often such people are unadapted to ordinary life. So the famous Soviet mathematician I.M. Vinogradov, who had a phenomenal memory and possessed considerable physical strength, and lived his whole life with his sister, who provided him with comfort.
Genius, as a rule, accompanies loneliness. They have a hard time with other people, and others have a hard time with them. People don’t understand geniuses, they envy them, they pass them by (except for the “saders” who want to “bathe in the rays of someone else’s glory”). It is unlikely that it will soon be known how the brains of such people work and whether it will be known at all. But as long as progress exists, in all types of activities, progress is inevitable.
Reasoning No. 3
What is genius? Most likely, almost everyone has asked this question. Genius is non-standard thinking that helps solve various life problems. Any person has at least once heard the names of famous scientists, wonderful poets and painters.
Genius gives you the opportunity to express yourself in what you love and achieve considerable success in it. A person does not become a genius immediately after birth, but with the help of hard work and diligence on his part. To be considered a genius, you need to demonstrate your best sides, not dwell on your successes, and constantly improve yourself.
Genius is a word that has many different meanings. Every person has their own opinion about this. All people are brilliant and unique from birth. But not every one of them is able to fully realize their potential. Some reach a certain level and do not strive to develop further, while others continue to move to achieve their goals and desires. A genius is the one who was able to find his strengths in any business, and also who constantly develops them.
A genius person is not a person who understands everything in the world. He may well be a professional in one industry. When thinking about geniuses, geniuses such as Mendeleev, Lomonosov, Leonardo da Vinci and many others come to mind. Each of the above has the greatest skills and abilities in one area. It was these individuals who went down in history, developed the world for the better, striving to expand knowledge about the world around us, so that it would be easier for people to live in the future. Many did not succeed the first time, but despite this, they did not give up halfway, but went to the end and achieved significant success.
We can say that a genius is a person who, by combining his interests and skills, discovers something new and refines the ideas of previous masters in his works. Overcoming obstacles undoubtedly helps in the future to experience less stress when difficulties arise, and gives an understanding that there will be a worthy reward for hard work. Brilliant people can be called those who were able to rise above their heads, believe in their own strengths and capabilities.
Thus, genius includes talent along with effort. Labor plays the main role; without it, it will be impossible to achieve anything.

Essay about Genius
Everyone wants to be something outstanding or stand out from a number of other people, but, as history and facts testify, not everyone is given this. It seems to me that it is genius people who are the engines of history and the development of mankind.
In fact, genius may well be measured, in particular by a quantitative parameter. To put it simply, a person of genius understands and realizes more than an ordinary person. Of course, such a person should not be confused with a kind of intellectual “Stakhanovite” who stupidly does his job.
A person of genius is not equal to the sum of the efforts of a certain number of people; he is qualitatively superior to such a sum. Even if a hundred ordinary people gather, they will not be able to come up with something accessible to a genius. Thus, a genius surpasses the common man both qualitatively and quantitatively: he always does more than is possible for the common man and does it better.
There is an opinion about the universality of genius, that is, as they say, a talented person is talented in everything. In my opinion, this really makes sense, and a person receives a specific use of his talent simply because of a certain upbringing and choice of vector for his activity.
After all, genius is simply a deep understanding of the world, and how it is expressed: in music, writing, or even cooking, does not particularly matter. He who understands the essence understands this essence in everything and then simply uses his understanding and expresses it in a certain way. That is why brilliant people are to some extent similar and can understand each other quite easily.
If we think in metaphors, then genius can be compared to being on the top of a huge mountain, from where you can see the rest of the landscape, where the rarefied air refreshes the mind. Following this comparison, the existence of an ordinary person is like living at the foot of a mountain, from where the rest of the landscape cannot be particularly seen. The main question is: is it possible to climb to such a peak or is the location of one’s habitat determined by birth, that is, someone, relatively speaking, is born immediately at the top of our metaphorical mountain, and someone at the foot.
In my opinion, almost anyone can climb to such a peak, but to do this you need to surpass yourself. A genius is one who surpasses himself, the philistine in himself and, in fact, the rest of the world of people, becoming to some extent a qualitatively different being.
Genius
Genius is precisely that which does not fit into any rules.
Daniil Alexandrovich Granin
Genius and the geniuses who personify it are a real adornment of our mediocre and conservative society, in which most people are not capable, or rather, are not accustomed to create something fundamentally new and unique; they do not know how to create, but can only imitate and copy and do the work that they were once taught to do.
Most people can live a monotonous life indefinitely without changing anything at all. Give them two hundred, three hundred, five hundred years of life and all this time they will live as they lived in previous years, without even trying to change anything unless urgently necessary. And geniuses change the world because they want and are able to do it, they give the world something fundamentally new, bright, strong, which can make people's lives better and more interesting. Such people are the initiators of big and small changes, and not only in their own, but also in public life. The ability to create makes them special people who can be admired by society or persecuted. At the same time, the genius of geniuses is not something supernatural that only selected people can possess from birth. This is not a gift from God or a miracle of nature. In my opinion, we can all be geniuses. Some will be to a greater extent, and some to a lesser extent, depending on how exactly each of us will be raised and taught. You can develop genius in yourself, I am absolutely sure of that. And in this article we will see this together. Friends, I will tell you about genius only what I myself have learned and discovered by observing brilliant people and communicating with some of them. There will be no other people's thoughts here, no other people's reasoning, nothing that someone has already written and spoken about geniuses. I don’t want to repeat anything after anyone on such an important topic. You will learn everything that is already known about geniuses and genius without me, because well-known thoughts are copied quickly and can be found everywhere, in a variety of sources. And here I will have only mine - my thoughts, my discoveries and my observations.
What is genius
Simply put, genius is the ability to come up with something new, unusual, special, unique. Simply put, genius is a manifestation of a person’s highest creative abilities. Geniuses bring something into this world that was not there before. And the stronger the difference between this new and everything existing, the more brilliant the idea, thought, invention, creativity of a genius. Genius is expressed in uniqueness, peculiarity, originality. A genius can make decisions that other people will not understand due to their stereotyped thinking and limitations. A genius can reason in a way that no one ever reasons, because geniuses think freely, giving free rein to their thoughts and fantasies. A genius is capable of coming up with ideas that are completely absurd for most people, which seem so because of their unusualness and the genius of which people can understand only after some time, when they see the results from the implementation of these ideas.
Genius is not absolute
Geniuses are capable of giving the world outstanding ideas, unique inventions, and magnificent creativity, but they cannot be geniuses in everything. On the one hand, their brain works in a special way, it can think beyond the boundaries of known algorithms, therefore, they can come up with new approaches to all known problems in order to solve them in a more efficient way. But on the other hand, no brain has such power to always think creatively and not use known solutions in everyday life. Therefore, in some matter, a genius can fully reveal his genius by inventing something unusual that has never happened in this world, and in some ways he will be the same simple person as most other people. He will also move around on the ground, satisfy his hunger with regular food, brush his teeth in the traditional way, and do much more as everyone else does. He does not need to look for any new solutions in these matters, although he could do this if he wanted. Such a person usually shows his genius in relation to one, the most important task for him, in which he thinks limitlessly in order to achieve a unique result in solving it. And in other matters, he behaves much more simply, like an ordinary person, so as not to overload his brain with things of little importance to him.
Or if we talk about making money, then a genius in this matter may not be so successful. A brilliant person does not necessarily have to be rich. Because a brain that can create in art or invent new devices, or make some discoveries in science and a brain that is only focused on making money are completely different brains. You can earn a lot of money without any genius at all, acting according to algorithms that have been known for hundreds and even thousands of years. Of course, a person’s genius can give the world something so outstanding that it will later glorify and enrich it, but this is not at all necessary. Not always the geniuses who came up with something got rich from it. A genius can create something, but he cannot sell it. But a businessman can do it, because his brain is wired for it. Or in some cases, an enterprising person can even appropriate the creation of a genius, sell it and thus become rich. So, a genius does not necessarily have to be able to solve problems related to making money in order to be considered a genius. Therefore, the phrase: “If you are so smart, then why are you so poor?” does not apply to such people. The point is not whether a person is smart or not, but what exactly he is smart at or, in other words, everything depends on what he applies his mind to. Not all geniuses are interested in dealing with the issue of making money, they may not want it, they are not interested in it. Their thinking can take them to such distances, where a lot of interesting ideas bloom, the thinking of which simply does not allow these people to be distracted by vile things. But if a genius still uses his abilities in commercial activities, then, of course, he can achieve a lot. Only here we must also take into account the fact that a brilliant mind is not so disciplined as to act strictly according to plan, to adhere to some kind of order that serious activity, such as business, requires. The mind of a genius is like a volcano, which, no one knows when, will erupt, giving out an outstanding idea, which still needs to be implemented so that it begins to benefit society and the genius himself. Therefore, among the famous rich people there are not many geniuses, but nevertheless they exist. Such people simply sometimes still need assistants who are able to introduce their ideas into society and sell them to it in the form of a final product. Such assistants complement the creative thinking of geniuses with their practical thinking.
Thus, I personally am completely confident that there are no geniuses who would be brilliant in absolutely everything. No matter how genius a person is, his genius cannot extend to everything with which he interacts, this is impossible. In some ways, such people can even make completely erroneous decisions and in certain situations will be inferior in intelligence to other people who do not have a brilliant mind. After all, the mind cannot approach absolutely all problems equally effectively, it cannot be creative in everything, it simply does not have enough resources for this. Our world is so complex that no one, even the most brilliant mind, is capable of understanding it well enough to always produce outstanding results in all areas. You will succeed in one thing, fail in another, come up with a brilliant solution in one issue, make a mistake in another. Therefore, there is no need to see geniuses as super-people who can make brilliant decisions always and in everything. Can not.
What does genius give?
Let's now think about why genius is needed at all, both for an individual person and for humanity as a whole. Still, geniuses are not always and not loved everywhere, not everyone understands them, they sometimes prevent people from living a normal, quiet life. Therefore, maybe they are not needed, maybe you can live without any genius? I'm afraid it's not possible. Geniuses and their genius are needed for serious changes. And change is necessary for the overall development of humanity. Without development, people may have big problems that require ingenious solutions to solve. They already exist, these problems, when people lived without problems. But they can develop into very serious problems if left unaddressed for a long time. I'm not even talking about the fact that the ideas of some geniuses make our lives more comfortable, more interesting, more beautiful; if not for them, we would develop much more slowly and, therefore, would live worse. Today, humanity faces many problems that only brilliant minds can solve. The same ecology, the problem of which has been known for a long time, energy, which requires qualitative changes, various kinds of social problems, including the problem of wars, the ordinary mind cannot cope with all of them, otherwise we would have already solved these problems. In the meantime, they stood and still stand before humanity. And geniuses can deal with them, maybe they have already dealt with them, proposing some ideas that the powers that be, for one reason or another, are in no hurry to implement. The same problem of hunger was once partially overcome with the help of genetic engineering, which made it possible to obtain higher yields. I don’t know how much of this is the merit of individual geniuses, but the solution itself, given its effectiveness and uniqueness, turned out to be quite ingenious. Although before this decision, people were engaged in selection, also to increase efficiency in agriculture, and it also gave good results. Much of what surrounds us today and makes our lives better and more interesting is the result of the work of brilliant minds.
And our lives can become even better thanks to geniuses and their ideas. Let’s get creative with our fingers, imagining ourselves in the shoes of geniuses, and see what special things we can come up with to make people’s lives change a lot. For example, we have such a vehicle as a car, or any other vehicle moving on the roads. You can come up with an invention that will allow a car to move not with the help of wheels, but due to anti-gravity, using a special installation that replaces wheels, which will support the car in the air at a certain distance from the ground. Wheels will no longer be needed, as well as roads in their usual form; only some guides will be needed along which the car will move. And these anti-gravity installations will make the ride smooth, calculating the distance to the ground in such a way as to ignore all the holes and bumps. Something anti-gravity could also be used as energy, perhaps even a naturally renewable source of energy. And you can also create a magnetic field around the car, which will protect it from collisions with other objects, including people and cars. If a person, while driving his car, bumps into some kind of obstacle or another car flies into him, then the magnetic field will smoothly absorb the impact to prevent a physical collision with the vehicle. In general, this is roughly how you can come up with something new, this is how a brilliant solution to a known problem might look in the future. Brilliant people are capable of thinking through and implementing such and even more interesting ideas. You understand how such innovations can improve our lives; it will be a much more convenient, comfortable, safe and interesting life. The same 3D printers in the future can greatly change the world, when with their help it will be possible to print for ourselves a variety of things that we use in everyday life, including food, clothing, household appliances, etc. Just imagine how great it is, say, to take and create the necessary products for yourself from the surrounding atoms, practically without any costs and without all sorts of harmful substances.
Genius can lead us to all this. Therefore, it is obvious that we need geniuses, as well as ingenious solutions that even the most ordinary people can produce when insight comes to them or, more likely, through hard and prolonged mental work.
How to become a genius?
Well, the main question regarding genius: how to develop it in yourself or in your children? How to become a genius or make someone else a genius? And here my study of this issue tells me that the first thing to do is to get rid of the fear of freedom of thought. Yes, it is fear that is the enemy of genius. It is he who kills her. I believe that a genius lives in every person, only in most people it is suppressed, it is intimidated, suppressed, so it does not make itself felt. Constant criticism of a person for his unconventional thinking, ridicule of his ideas that other people are unable to understand, and work intended in most cases for mediocre rather than brilliant minds, forces people to abandon the germ of their genius, not giving it the opportunity to to sprout and blossom. People decide to be like everyone else in order to live a quiet life rather than be constantly attacked for their desire to develop and demonstrate their genius. Nobody likes being around someone who thinks differently, especially if that someone’s thoughts are many times better than your own thoughts. Therefore, geniuses are often disliked. And because of this, they are prevented from developing their genius.
Let's be honest, the modern world does not need geniuses, they are creators, in large numbers. The world needs automatic people who are capable of performing some kind of routine work day after day in a disciplined manner, who do not think too much, who are predictable in their actions, and whose thinking algorithm can be easily calculated in order to manipulate them in the right way. And geniuses, of course, are also needed, but in very small quantities. Geniuses will not be able to work in most positions that require obedience rather than great ideas, they will not be able to stand behind assembly lines, behind machines, they will not be able to tinker with numbers that are completely meaningless to them, they will not be able to make phone calls to clients and communicate with them as if they had They don’t have the ears, not to mention the thinking, to read all sorts of nonsense from a piece of paper, in the hope of getting the necessary response from the client. Geniuses cannot fit into all this fuss that ordinary people do in order to feed themselves and please them with all sorts of rubbish. But society should work like this, like one big mechanism, in order to produce the goods necessary for life, so that everything in it is calm and predictable, so it and people need appropriate, sort of problem-free gears, which geniuses cannot be, because their minds are always encourages them to deviate from a given pattern of behavior in order to come up with something new, something better than what they have. So they stifle any genius in people, in vain forbidding them to think outside the framework necessary for society. People have been criticized for anything that doesn't fit with the status quo, starting in school. After all, our entire basic education is built on a person’s acceptance of knowledge already existing in the world. Nobody tells you in class: come up with something of your own, come up with a new solution to a problem, come up with your own theory of human origins, come up with your own opinion on this or that issue. You can not do it this way. It is necessary for a person to think exclusively within the framework of existing rules. This is necessary, of course, in order to solve various problems in life, using the discoveries and knowledge of many generations, but this does not develop, but rather suppresses genius in a person. Accordingly, in order to develop genius, you need to go against everything that exists, against order, against traditions, against restrictions. A person needs not so much to rebel, going against society, but simply not to be afraid of being special, not like everyone else. One must not be afraid of criticism, one must not be afraid of ridicule, one must not be afraid of rejection by people, one must not be afraid of mistakes for which we are accustomed to criticize, then a person will create the necessary conditions for the development of his genius.
The next thing to do is to start fantasizing. The more you fantasize, the faster you will grow into a genius. Brilliant people give free rein to their imagination, without limiting it in any way. This is useful work even for those who do not strive to become a genius simply because it allows you to develop imagination, without which it is very difficult to plan, predict, calculate events, and therefore think ahead. When people and I are engaged in the development of thinking, then one point in our letters is always devoted to the development of creative thinking, and I ask people to fantasize on this or that topic, persistently seeking from them a completely limitless flight of thought, so that they allow absolutely everything, any scenario , any events, so that they offer even the most crazy ideas. Genius is born in fearlessness before the opinions of others, and blossoms in absolute freedom of thought and feelings. You can fantasize on your own, or you can do it together with someone, talking about topics that allow you to imagine the most unusual things. It helps to develop imagination perfectly by reading science fiction, not by watching science fiction films, where a person is offered ready-made images, but by reading, where you have to imagine for yourself what is discussed in the book. The more unusual images that appear in a person’s head, the better. Then he will be able to imagine something on his own, without anyone’s prompting, and come up with something that will turn out to be completely unique. It may not be useful, but it is unique.
A person also needs to regularly set himself or someone he wants to turn into a genius with tasks that have no known solution, so that this solution needs to be invented. Even if it is incorrect, the main thing is that the person comes up with something of his own, something new. You can invite a person to mentally change any existing order of things. For example, you can ask him to come up with some new way of moving people, which no one has proposed before. You can ask him to come up with a new sport, either completely new or based on an existing one. In the second case, you can take any existing sport, say football, and break it down into its component parts: eleven players on a team who run on the grass on a field and kick a round leather ball that needs to be scored into a goal, and so on. And then you can try to change every component of this sport. Let's say, why not change the number of players, or why not replace the grass and the football field with something else, or why not use some other object instead of the ball and drive it somewhere else rather than into the goal, or why not chase it with your feet, but with other parts of the body. In general, the point is to take what exists into parts and think about changing one or more of these parts, proposing instead some new idea that no one has proposed before. A person needs to go beyond the limits of the thinking algorithms known to him in order to awaken the genius within himself. We are accustomed not so much to thinking about how to do something, but to using ready-made solutions that we know about in advance or are trying to find out about. Our standard education teaches us to memorize solutions to various problems, and then, remembering them, use them. And genius thinking does not so much remember and reproduce as it invents. That’s why it’s brilliant, it expands the boundaries of the known, rather than sticking to them.
I believe that genius in a person must be developed, and not wait for nature to send us such people ready-made. It is believed that most people have mediocre thinking, average abilities, do not have any special talents, in a word, they do not stand out in anything special, they are the most ordinary people. So be it. It's good that it is so. I personally am against relying on nature, expecting some extraordinary abilities from a person from his very birth. A person is a material that needs to be processed in order to make something valuable and even outstanding out of it. Even if something is inherited, even if a person’s intrauterine development influences his future abilities, we still need to turn off our innate laziness, which encourages us to rely on everything ready-made, given from above, and to work with a person, with any person, to work with him as diligently as necessary in order to make him an outstanding personality, capable of creating and giving the world something new. And in order to make a genius out of a person, you need to teach him to think freely, without any framework or restrictions, and not be afraid of it. I don’t know if this can be combined with the usual thinking that a person needs to solve standard problems that need to be solved in known ways. Perhaps not, and therefore a genius must have special living conditions. But if we need such people, if a person himself wants to develop his genius, he must move away from standard algorithmic thinking and begin to think freely, one might even say chaotically, disorderly, entropically, so that thoughts scatter in different directions, create any possible connections until until his brain itself puts everything in order and produces some special, previously unknown result.
However, for the world the creation of a single genius may not be new; it may already be known to him. This creation must be new, first of all, for the genius himself, because this will mean that with his own mind he was able to come to what other creative thinkers, geniuses, had already come to, but he did not know it. But that doesn't matter. The main thing is to tune your mind to work in such a way that it is able to think infinitely creatively, as befits genius minds. Then he will be able to come up with something completely new, he will come up with a lot of things.
We all love to dream, some people live only by dreams. Only our dreams can be strongly limited by some laws known to us, be it the laws of physics, which make something in this world impossible for us, or the laws of thinking, which force us to adhere to certain rules when thinking and reasoning, for example, these can be the same laws of logic, laws of common sense and other laws. All these laws, on the one hand, are useful, as they allow us to be realistic and think and act effectively. But, on the other hand, they prevent us from coming to something new, brilliant in our dreams. Now, in order to become a genius, we need to abandon all the laws and all the rules known to us that we know and think, dream, do something, thinking that everything is possible in this world. Or, simply without thinking that something in it is impossible. When you gain this freedom of thought, you will gain genius. Exactly how brilliant you will be depends on many things, including your knowledge and experience. But the main thing you will do is to free your thought from the shackles of all the rules and laws, allowing it, like a free bird, to break free and soar to the skies, where it will find or create a lot of unique and very interesting ideas, some of which you can use in life to solve various problems and tasks, both for one’s own benefit and for the benefit of all humanity.
