Thanks to the image of Lisa Muromskaya in the story “The Peasant Young Lady,” A. S. Lisa is the main character of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin’s story “The Young Lady-Peasant”.
She is a young, full of life, cheerful and sociable girl. Her father, the landowner Muromsky, loves her madly. Lisa lost her mother early, so the responsibility for raising her fell entirely on the shoulders of the governess and her father. Grigory Ivanovich does not provide her with anything, he constantly pampers her, completely dissolving in his daughter.
Lisa is at that age when feminine beauty and youth are in full swing. The girl does not need anything, she grows up in complete prosperity and the attention of loved ones. In a word, her life seems happy and carefree.
She is happy, despite the monotony of life on her father's estate, until she meets the son of another landowner, who has returned home after studying at the university. He interested Lisa, and she decides to play a prank on the young man. The girl changes into a peasant outfit and goes to meet him.
Since the parents of young people have been quarreling for many years, Lisa comes up with such a game. Simple curiosity leads the girl to fall in love with the son of a neighboring landowner.
Despite the fact that their parents are making peace after a long feud, Lisa is afraid to admit to the guy her unwitting prank. Thanks to her wit and wild young imagination, the girl manages to remain unrecognized at the moment when her lover comes to their home. She hides her face under a thick layer of powder and a ridiculous outfit and hairstyle. The girl behaves capriciously and spoiled, like a real young lady.
Having met the young man later, at the old usual place for dating, Lisa asks with interest what impression that same young lady made on him. The girl is sure that she played him perfectly. But having learned that not only did he not like the young lady, but the young man considers her pompous and ugly, he is sincerely upset and offended.
Lisa, due to her young age, has naivety and easy spontaneity. She is so confused in her game that she cannot decide how to admit to deception and not lose her loved one. Everything is decided by one incident, during which her deception is revealed. A young man comes to her house without an invitation and sees Lisa.
