Very briefly: Civil War. The daughter of a merchant becomes a fighter in a cavalry squadron, heroically fights against the “whites,” but cannot fit into peaceful life and deals with her rival according to the laws of war.

Olga Vyacheslavovna Zotova, the daughter of an Old Believer, a merchant of the second guild, lived in Kazan.

Olga Vyacheslavovna Zotova - daughter of an Old Believer merchant; during the civil war she became a red cavalryman, in peacetime she was nicknamed the viper for her anger

One night, robbers entered the Zotovs’ home, killed their parents, and set the house on fire. They managed to save the wounded Olga. She remembered that one of the killers of her parents was former high school student Valka Brykin.

Olga was sent to the hospital, where she lay with the wounded Red Army soldiers. She met the red commander Emelyanov.

Emelyanov - red commander, cavalryman, Olga's lover

Olga fell in love with Emelyanov and followed him to war. She was enlisted as a member of the cavalry squadron in his regiment as a messenger. None of the fighters would have believed it if they learned that Zotova was a girl.

And how damn beautiful she was: the young cavalrymen turned their noses, the seasoned ones thought, when Zotova, thin and tall, with dark fine hair, jingling her spurs, walked through the shag smoke of the barracks.

Olga led the further breakthrough and was wounded. After leaving the infirmary, she went to fight again, wandering all over the country until the war ended. During this time, she lost all feminine features and became “thin and angry, like a viper.”

Yuri Sotnik “Viper”: summary, review, what to write?

Yuri Sotnik. Viper. Summary. Feedback on what you read.

This story by Yuri Sotnik tells about an incident on a train.

Twelve-year-old boy Borya returns from his grandmother, with whom he was visiting during the summer holidays. In a conversation with his neighbors, the boy reports that he is bringing living exhibits from the village for the school living corner. These are toads, lizards, snakes, and he even has a poisonous viper in the jar.

Having learned about this, passengers ask to see it. And then the boy reports that the snake has disappeared. Frightened passengers quickly climbed onto the upper bunks and reported the incident to the conductor, who then informed the train foreman.

The bravest of the passengers rushed to look for the snake and found it under one of the benches. Immediately a dispute broke out over what to do with her. In the end, the snake was caught, put in a jar and closed with a tight lid.

Next, the passengers discussed the incident and recalled their school years. And the young lieutenant promised to take the boy home.

What I liked about this story was that the snake was not killed. I also liked the behavior of the lieutenant, who accompanied the boy to the house. What I didn’t like was that the boy hid the snake from his grandmother, putting everyone in danger.

I’ll write down a summary of the story about Jack the way they do in a reader’s diary, keeping it to 5-7 sentences. Example:

Andersen "Little Ida's Flowers" summary:

She put the flowers that had wilted to rest in a doll's crib. At night, when everyone was sleeping, Ida saw a round dance of flowers. They danced joyfully and even invited the slightly offended doll Sophie. It was the flowers that were placed in her bed to rest. Sophie was no longer offended by them. But the flowers said that they no longer needed the crib: in the morning they would die. She knew that buried in the ground, they would sprout again.

In the morning the flowers in the crib had completely withered. Ida and her cousins buried them in the garden.

E. Gabova “ Don’t let the redhead on the lake” the summary can be written like this:

Svetka Sergeeva was not liked in the class because of her red hair, poor background and singing (howling at the lake). She stopped the boys from fishing by singing. Zhenya decided to arrange it so that after finishing 9th grade she would not go to the lake with them. Before the ship departed, he threw her bag onto the pier. Svetka hesitated, but followed her and, as a result, did not go anywhere. The teacher said that she would no longer study with them, but went to a music school.

After 5 years, one of the boys was already an adult and saw Svetka on the stage of the opera house with his girlfriend. She herself was beautiful and sang incredibly beautifully. She was now not red, but golden. The former classmate didn’t have the courage to approach her; he was ashamed.

You can write it briefly in the form of a plan:

In this tale by Bazhov we are talking about a noticeable steep mountain, on the crest of which the city pasture ended and the state-owned forest dacha began. Guarding the passage gate was entrusted to a lonely disabled serviceman, Vasily, who asked a boy to help him.

Vasily lived in his hut for so long that the mountain was also named after him and began to be called Vasya Mountain. Grandfather Vasily also had a lot of boys at his side, more than a dozen. And people noticed that they all subsequently became good people, and in their free time they loved to talk about that time and what they learned from grandfather Vasily.

Another boy asks his grandfather why people on the top of the mountain look around, and then behave differently: one becomes cheerful, and the other becomes as if defeated, barely dragging his feet.

Then the grandfather explains that this is how the mountain tests human strength and the person understands that he is standing.

This mountain is still used as an example. Like, the war was so terrible, but we overcame all the difficulties, as well as the climb up this mountain.

A summary of Bianchi’s story “The Phalabe” can be written as follows.

The author's son saw birds on the river as bright as floats. his father told him that these are phalaropes. The moths themselves wear a bright outfit. In the spring they lay eggs, and the males incubate the eggs. The boy went fishing and saved a phalarope from crows. I brought it home. The bird was not afraid of people at all. But the father suggested releasing the phalarope into the wild. In the village they were afraid to let him out. The phalarope was carried into the forest and released near a deep hole with water. A phalarope swam there; it flew to the hole every day. Because of this, the author stopped going to that hole and killing ducks. In autumn, male phalaropes with chicks flew to the pit. Then all the phalaropes flew away. At the end, the author urges people not to frighten or offend phalaropes.

Summary of the story “The Viper” by Alexei Tolstoy

When Olga Vladimirovna Zotova went out into the communal kitchen in the morning to wash herself at the sink, all the residents felt the danger emanating from her.

This was facilitated by a scar on his leg, a bullet wound on his back, and a tattoo on his right shoulder. The female population of the apartment, represented by the dressmaker Marya Afanasyevna, the unemployed Roza Abramovna and the charming Sonechka Varentsova, hated and feared her.

Especially after she threw a hot primus stove at Zhuravlev’s house manager because he did not allow it to be kept in the room in order to avoid a fire.

Olga Vladimirovna smoked shag, had her hair cut short, sometimes made strong expressions, and a revolver hung over her bed.

In her early years, her life went awry. When high school student Olechka was 17 years old, their rich merchant's house was attacked by bandits. The girl's father and mother were killed, but she miraculously survived. She managed to recognize former high school student Valka in one of the attackers.

During treatment in the hospital, Olga Vyacheslavovna met a young Red Army soldier, Emelyanov, with whom she fell in love at first sight.

When the whites entered the city, the girl, following Valka’s false denunciation of her Bolshevik sentiments, was thrown into prison. After the White Guards fled, a half-dead Olga was discovered among the executed Red Army soldiers. Emelyanov made every effort to save her, and after recovery he enrolled her in his squadron.

The war deprived Olga Vyacheslavovna of her beloved: during the battle Emelyanov was killed. In peacetime, the girl felt very lonely and unwanted. Fate took her to Vladivostok, Siberia, and finally she ended up in Moscow, where she got a job at the non-ferrous metals trust.

Sonechka Varentsova, who lived with her in the same apartment and worked in the same building, ridiculed her for her ridiculous appearance and funny outfits. Other residents called it a viper and a brand.

But one fine day Olga Vyacheslavovna transformed to such an extent that the men gasped and called her a shock girl. Fans appeared, but the director of the shag trust took her heart. But he was passionate about Sonechka and things were moving towards the wedding.

The bride Sonechka Varentsova hated Olga Vyacheslavovna and spread all sorts of defamatory rumors about her that were not true. She was insultingly called “squadron skin,” although she was a girl, and they attributed venereal diseases to her.

When Sonechka, shaking her marriage registration certificate, began to demand that Olga Vyacheslavovna leave her husband alone and at the same time called her a bastard, she received several shots in the face in response to her insults. After this, Olga Vyacheslavovna went to the police and reported what she had done.

Summary of the story “Caucasian Prisoner” chapter by chapter (L. N. Tolstoy) | Literary guru

Tolstoy's stories are no less rich in content than his novels, so it is also important to take notes correctly so as not to miss a single important detail from the plot and remember all the main events. So a brief retelling of “Prisoner of the Caucasus” from “Literaguru” is an indispensable aid in learning, as is an analysis of the book .

Chapter I

There was a gentleman named Zhilin who served in the Caucasus. One day he receives a letter from his mother, in which she asks her son to return home for a while, she feels bad and wants to see her son one last time. She also reports that she has found a bride for him.

There was a war going on in the Caucasus at that time, and the roads were unsafe. Zhilin, accompanied by soldiers, sets off on the road. There were often breakdowns on the road, and Zhilin decided to travel further alone, relying on his faithful horse. Another officer, Kostylin, went with him.

As soon as the two drove away from the escort, they were immediately overtaken by the Tatars. Kostylin ran away in fear; Zhilin did not want to be killed alive, because he knew how the Tatars treated Russian prisoners. His horse was shot, the man himself was brought to the village, put in stocks and thrown into a barn.

Chapter II

Zhilin did not sleep all night, the Tatars came in the morning, they did not understand Russian, and the man asked with gestures to bring water. A small thin girl came in with a jug, she looked at the prisoner in fear while he drank.

Zhilin was brought to the house, where the translator explained to the officer that he would not be released until a ransom was paid for him. The Tatars demanded three thousand, but the hero, remembering his poor mother, said that he was ready to give only five hundred.

A second prisoner was brought into the house, it turned out to be Kostylin, he could not hide from the Tatars. Zhilin was told that he had already sent a letter asking for ransom. Zhilin wrote a note, but in such a way that it would not reach the recipient. He was determined to escape.

Chapter III

Kostylin was waiting for a ransom to be sent for him. Zhilin did not waste time: during the day he explored the surroundings of the village, in the evenings he did needlework.

Many Tatars spoke well of the captured Russian: Zhilin repaired a watch for one of the villagers, cured a sick person, and made beautiful dolls for the girls. The thin girl who brought a jug of water on the first day began to bring him milk. Her name was Dina.

Chapter IV

Zhilin lived like this for a whole month. Dina brought him cakes and milk, some of the Tatars began to look warily at the prisoner, rumors arose that they wanted to kill the soldiers without waiting for a ransom.

Zhilin made a small dig in the barn; during the day he persuaded the boy, who was supposed to look after him, to climb the mountain. He examined the surroundings of the village and roughly imagined which direction to move.

Chapter V

Kostylin was afraid of escaping, but still agreed. The yard dog barked when the prisoners crawled out from under the barn, but Zhilin had been feeding the dog for a long time, and he quickly fell silent.

The prisoners wandered through the night forest for a long time, Kostylin became completely exhausted, his legs were raw and bleeding and he could no longer move. Zhilin was not ready to leave his comrade and carried him on his back.

The soldiers heard the clatter of hooves, and in an instant the Tatars overtook them, tied them up and took them back to the village. There the prisoners were beaten with whips; one of the Tatars told Zhilin that if the ransom did not come in a week, he and his comrade would be killed. The prisoners were put in a deep hole and fed like dogs.

Brief retelling of the first chapters

Alexey Nikolaevich Tolstoy tells the reader about the difficult life path of a young lady who, despite the circumstances, finds the courage to resist injustice. The central character of the story is the daughter of a wealthy Old Believer merchant, Olga Vyacheslavovna Zotova. The girl's early years were spent in Kazan. Since childhood, the young aristocrat was surrounded by sentimental friends, was fond of visiting artists, and spent a lot of time reading novels.

The girl ended up in a medical institution, where she met the Red Army soldier Dmitry Vasilyevich Emelyanov . His stories made a strong impression on Olga, and she developed warm feelings for him.

After some time, the city was taken under control by soldiers of the Czechoslovak Corps. An ill-wisher writes a denunciation against Zotova, accusing her of having connections with the Bolsheviks, as a result of which she ends up in custody. While in prison, the girl rethinks her previous life and understands how naive her ideas about this world were. While Olga remains in captivity, her anger and thirst for revenge for her murdered parents grows every day.

The city is captured by Red Army soldiers. All prisoners who did not want to come over to their side are sentenced to death right in the basement of the prison. Commander Emelyanov, who happens to be here, discovers that the wounded Olga is still breathing and takes her to the first-aid post.

Front-line everyday life

Is two months in prison a lot or a little? Olga Vyacheslavovna did not think about this question, she simply analyzed her previous life while in captivity. And she understood how childish the dreams were, how naively the beauty looked at this world. Anger at herself flared up in the soul of the young lady, she suffered until she almost died.

The Reds burst into the city and shot all the prisoners. Olga Vyacheslavovna was shot by the same Valka who killed her parents. But the girl turned out to be very tenacious; she was discovered among the dead by a cavalryman named Emelyanov. He sends the girl to be treated, and she falls in love with her savior.

Emelyanov undertakes to teach Olga Vyacheslavovna the intricacies of cavalry and saber use. And the young beauty proved herself to be a talented student; she handled the horse so famously that it took Emelyanov’s breath away. She mastered the saber perfectly, but the force of the blow was insufficient. For all her merits, Olga Vyacheslavovna was a girl, fragile and delicate. But to strike with a saber you need a lot of strength, and it lies in the shoulders.

On the subject: The film “Three Fat Men”: actors and roles, history of creation, plot of the film

The young lady followed her beloved to the front. She was enlisted in the cavalry squadron of his regiment and simply turned the heads of the men. But the beautiful Olga was distinguished by a strict disposition; being in male society, she managed to maintain her maiden purity. Rumors spread throughout the regiment that the beauty was Emelyanov’s wife, although this was a lie.

A loved one died during a breakthrough from enemy lines. Olga Vyacheslavovna was seriously wounded, ended up in the infirmary, and barely recovered, she again went to the front. She visited all corners of the country. When the war ended, the beauty turned 23 years old.

The summary of the story “The Viper” (A. N. Tolstoy is the author) does not reveal the essence of Olga Vyacheslavovna as clearly as the original work. This girl was nicknamed Viper for her vitality. Later, having lost her loved one, she hardened her soul, became embittered and no longer looked like a young woman.

Analysis of the work

“The Viper” by Tolstoy is a story about two types of revolutionary transformations: external (social) and internal, which radically changed the psychology of society and affected the basic system of values, including relations between men and women. There is a certain connection between these processes, which gives the changes that have taken place a special drama, since the clash of ideologies and forces is inevitably accompanied by a radical break in the traditional foundations and destinies of people.

Of the huge number of phenomena occurring against the backdrop of the revolution, the writer emphasized a particular aspect that is associated with the phenomenon called “revolutionary transvestism.” This type of transformation of representatives of the fairer sex into men became widespread during periods of social upheaval and wars.

Having lost what was the basis and meaning of existence, having lost her usual role in society, having miraculously escaped death, the main character decides to try on a new look that will allow her to confront a hostile and terrible world.

Under the pressure of external circumstances, Olga Zotova chooses the path of revolutionary transvestism , joining the ranks of the Red Army. The hardships and deprivations of a soldier's life, strict adherence to socialist ideology - all this contributed to the transformation of the once noble young lady into a simple cavalryman, ready to defend revolutionary principles to the last drop of blood.

Olga’s life in the field and her desire to be no different from her comrades in arms were the result of total masculism, which was intensified by the cult of violence that reigned everywhere. The real drama of the woman that the writer narrates happened after the end of the Civil War, when war communism was replaced by liberal NEP. A red line runs through Tolstoy’s entire work:
